Introduction
In spite of the weird title of this blog, I am not insane; well, not officially. However, a doctored photograph (or rather a photoshoped image) of a cat holding a submachine gun and aiming at someone through a window gave me the idea: What if, there really was a sniper cat ? Would then one be able to leave the guard duty to one's cat instead of one's dog? That possibility could, in principle, be there. And that is how I decided to choose this moniker for me: CatGunHome.
I am a non-religious person and I try to be rational and devoid of superstitions; at least, in my mind, I imagine myself to be so. I was born Hindu and I still consider myself a Hindu, due to Hinduism's pantheistic view of the universe and nature. Prof. Richard Dawkins would probably point out to me that my religious view is just sexed-up atheism; however, I am a coward and I am afraid I would have to swallow my own words later, if I ever proclaimed that I was an atheist. I agree with the gentleman who said, something in the line of -I am just one biopsy away from being a believer.
I am male, and I work in the Physical Sciences for a living. I am very embarrassed about my lack of knowledge, both in science and in other fields, and I try to learn a bit of this and a bit of that by reading. I am pretty moody and reclusive, and I enjoy solitude more than the company of most people. I have always wished to write, and had a blog running for a few years, at which point, like many other things that I attempted to do in life, I stopped writing and updating it.
This is a new blog, and I hope to write regularly. I hope, this will work a kind of notebook to me, if not anything else.
